Is no claims protection a con?

  • Yes, no claims protection is a con !!! or at least it is now, my insurance quote this year was £356 i normally pay around £220 fully comp so i shopped around but could not reduce it further even with a 30 year unblemished record. As i could not reduce this unreasonable cheapest figure i decided to go without my NCP reducing my fully comp figure to £144.00........... That means the cost of my NCP this year was a staggering £212.00 more than the cost of my actual cover.
I have never been without NCP and was always led to believe it was around £20 Now i wonder who is behind THIS dramatic increase, do we need to guess, Grrrrrrrrr
