Help getting changing the blade on my compound mitre saw?

I have a B&Q Macallister 1800W 250mm slide compound mitre saw. I lock the blade, turn the locking flange clockwise (left had thread) and but it wont budge! Anyone got any ideas? Heating it, WD40 etc?
