Hi!!!
I'm a First time buyer,
After a lot of looking around,i found a apartment that i like and suprisingly my offer was accepted!!!
Now, what shall i do next?
DO i have to find a lawyer or a mortgage or a survey for the apartment?I know i have to get all these but which one first?
The apartment is just 2 years old and still had NHBC guarantee....is survey necessary?
Please advise.
Thanx,
AA

Congrats!
You now need to get your mortgage sorted and instruct the solicitor. If there is any doubt about you getting the mortgage sort this before you start paying the solicitor.
The best way to find a solicitor is through recommendations of friends. Don't automatically go for the one that the estate agent may recommend, they may not be the best value or the most efficient.
The survey will be arranged through your mortgage. Even though the property is only two years old, the mortgage company will insist on it, and so would I as a buyer.
Good luck!Gone ... or have I?0 -
If you don't have a mortgage in place how do you know you can afford the offer you've made? You don't say, so i think it's a valid question.
You will need a solicitor (for "conveyancing"), a mortage, and a survey. The survey will be arranged through the mortgage, at which point you can choose how much you want to spend!
You may wish to consider some of the online conveyancing companies, which appear to be cheaper. Then again you may prefer to convenience of a local solicitor.
You should see a whole of market mortgage broker to get advice on your mortgage.Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery0
