It's not something for nothing, they've hiked up their prices to pay for this deal. You, and everyone else, has probably been paying a little extra on everything you've bought for the last few months to pay for this "something for nothing".
The only income they have comes from their customers, so anything they give you has already been given to them by you and the rest of their customers.0 -
Supermarkets dont give things away thats why there profits are always up its squeeze the supplier and squeeze the customer0

I think you'll find tens of thousands of pounds is given to the Supermarkets by suppliers in exchange for running certain promotions, Key shelf space and facings, supporting new lines, instore advertising and promotional units - Tesco are quite open that this is one of the ways Clubcard is funded and im sure a huge chunk of suppliers money not customers has been used to fund the Morrisons promotion.:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

And where do the suppliers get their money? From supermarkets, who in turn get it from customers?
It doesn't matter whether suppliers have hiked up their prices to pay for a "give away" or Morrisons have done it. The customers still pay for it.0 -
That impossible thats 7 pound a week per person.
what do you eat ............ice cubes?:rotfl:
A way to feed a family of 4 for £10 for approx 3 days worth of dinners
Take £10....this is aimed at feeding 2 adults and 2 children obviously most people have gravy in their cupboards but if you need to buy some then it will be slightly more than £10 and also the cost of butter for your mash.
Your shopping List from Tesco

2.5kg bag Market Value baking potatoes £1.59
350g Market Value Mushrooms 74p
175g Market Value Babycorn 85p

Take just over half of the mince, fry off in own fat, then add about 1/3 of the mushrooms chopped, cook together for about 5 mins. Peel enough potatoes for feeding family (probably about half) and chop and cook. Then make up some gravy (depending how you like it) and pour over mince and mushrooms, add in a tin of beans and let simmer until potatoes are cooked, stirring occasionally. Cook babycorn according to instructions then serve with the mince and mashed potatoes.
Day Two
Grate about half of the cheese. Cook about half of the pack of spaghetti, and fry off about half of the remaining mushrooms, sliced/chopped. Then when everything is cooked throw together in a pan and mix until cheese is melted....yum! Also peel some of the baking potatoes, cut into wedges and drizzle with olive oil or whatever oil you have in and bake in a pre-heated oven on about gas mark 6 for about an hour.
Day Three
With remaining mince fry off, add remaining mushrooms chopped and cook, then add the tinned tomatoes and allow to simmer. Meanwhile cook the spaghetti according to instructions. You can add any dried herbs and garlic you wish to the bolognaise according
i dont know about you but i dont go shopping per person ! £21 pw is perfectly reasonable ,above is an example of what can be done , we dont eat much meat and for me things like jacket potatoe /beans on toast are a meal. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. The main thing I dislike about this Morrisons deal is even when you have the voucher you have to spend another 40 quid to be able to use it and then the £5 new year one you have to spend another 30 quid to be able to use that I think this is a bit sneaky personally but then Morrisons can be a sneaky company at time as can Tesco and the rest of them, they dont actually give you anything not really!! So all in all they are giving you 25 quid back for a minimum £270 spend or £245 after the vouchers have been taken off
As sad though we shop there and at Tesco every week so in essence it really is something for nothing as they would have my 40 quid a week anyhow.
You don't - your bill is £40, and you get £25 off, so you have to "spend" £15 in real cash.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

Sorry it's my bad lol it was 5 out of 6 weeks last year, so it must have been the year before i was on about.
I am doing the voucher scheme as it is good value if you can work your way around by not overspending which i have managed to do(using one week to purchase christmas or multibuy items to save on spending at new year etc), and thus the £25 is extra as i haven't budgeted for it so it can go towards extra meat/treat/Booze etc.
I love shopping there it can just sometimes be a hassle if i don't have the car
........Best thing Morrisons does is their vanilla candles in the jar (2 for £2.50) they are the best i have ever tried i burn them as soon as it's dark every night and one candle will burn for nights and the whole house smells of sweet creamy vanilla, i pray they don't discontinue these. I see they are also doing the festive tealight candles, i got the red box on a multibuy last year it is cinnamon spice and they are lovely and so strong smelling am hoping to get £10 worth of candles this week as i need to stock up for cosy nights lol.
Can't moan at their B1G2F offers though they are fab and i see Tesco is copying now which is a good thing as i hope all stores will go in a buy 1 get 2 free fight lol.
Am thinking with the £25 of getting the pre-order stuffed luxury turkey crown as it looks lovely, not sure what their fresh turkey is like though...their beef is gorgeous and gammon and chickens

I have just done my second week this week.
Is it me or are all the supermarkets at the minute being stingy with offers lol, Morrisons had hardly any b1g2f or even bogof offers on although a lot of booze offers(but usually they are teeming with b1g2f's).
Tesco this week has chopped and changed it's offers at their own pleasure(the b1g2f cans offer ended early, and the cadburys stocking offer, plus no ferrero roche for 3.50 instore).
Asda i don't go to as their food is hit and miss unless it's a brand we like.
I am hoping Morrisons is saving the big juicy offers for the next few weeks when i start more serious christmas shopping
