morrisons free £30 offer

Hiya Everyone :-)
I did this offer last year and found it a real life saver for extra treats, i did go out of my way a bit and yep i did roughly spend about £40 extra but....Morrisons buy 1 get 2 free offers were brill and just generally i stocked up on loads for the extra money....it worked well and i was happy when customer service told me they were doing it this year until.....
I read the t&c's

last year you purchased £40 over 4 out of 6 weeks.....this year it is £40 5 out of 6 weeks
:(:( i am defo not doing it as last year i had free bus fare card thingy and this year i don't so to go up by bus and get picked up by hubby after his work will roughly cost £15(for the 5 weeks) then add the extra i would spend which is gonna be an extra £40 for the extra week(5th week) and it is such a con!!!
Perhaps if Morrisons said ok spend £200 at once or in chunks as long as by 5 weeks you spent £200 you can have it, but then they wouldn't get us lot who don't normally spend £40 all in one place every week to fork out the extra in their store!!!
Thank you very much Morrisons for ruining a good thing by being greedy...... please put it back to 4 weeks
Oh yes and a measly £5 of a shop at new years blimey that would barley cover my bus fares or petrol lol:( and bribery for hubby coming with me lol.0 -
This is a love hate offer...My wife likes Morrisons so I get dragged along with half of the shopping list. ( I normally browse the mags or dissappear to local shops). We then get double vouchers.
Does the same address not get picked up on? (one per household?).
I'm £140 a week and was going to do 2 x £70 ish.
Seen a comment about quality. I've never tried Sainsburys meats, but compared to Tesco (finest) and asda, Morrisons wins hands down.
Same for longevity of fruit, veg and flowers.0 -
No good for me (i spend max £20 pw on food) but i've passed it on to my mum who will make use of it

Are you sure?
It was 5 out of 6 weeks for me last year.....a total of £240 shop (including the £40 you had to spend to redeem your voucher.)
Far too much for me to spend in such a short space of time anyway.0 -
I'm with sparky, sure it was 5 out of 6 weeks in my local Morrisons.sparky1664 wrote: »Are you sure?

Think the first year ie 2 years ago was 4 out of 6, but it was a much smaller voucher (think it was only a fiver). Last year defo 5 out of 6 as we had 3 and MIL gave me 2 missing ones.
My lovely MIL has already started saving these up for me and phoned me up to say week ones in the bag and she is going to split her shopping more evenly over her 2 weekly shops to make sure both are over £40 so we can both get the offer (so overall she will be spending about the same). She really is a love, she knows OH is redundant so wants to help out-with 4 kids she has always been great helping us even before he was out of work-she had 4 herself and knows how it is lol.
Prefer this offer to ASDAs voucher book where you have the vouchers to spend on specific items ie £5 of a bottle of whiskey is no use to me at all.
So OP its a case of look at which offer suits you best and go for that one. Enjoy it wherever you shop, am I allowed to say (merry christmas yet lol ). Hubby been testing outside crimbo lights today so getting in the mood already-how sad am I :rotfl:

Something I realised last year was if you don't always spend the £40 per week normally there are items you can buy to qualify for the voucher, but will be using well into the new year, washing powder/toilet rolls/toiletries etc etc-watch for the best offers. I usually find we stock up on stuff whilst the offers are on over the end of the year (we use are crimbo savings stamps and crimbo savings plus offers to max what we buy) then need to spend hardly anything at the start of the year (good for when you are snowed in lol).

good for you , i dont understand why people seem to need to defend their spending . the offer is good if
a] you spend the required amount:eek:
b] you shop at morrisons:eek:
neither of which i do ! my fortnightly spend is approx £60/£70 thats for 2 adults ,a teenager and a dog.:D
That impossible thats 7 pound a week per person.
