sweet potato squash

Have saved the seed of a sweet potato squash for next year, it's delicious to eat! Will it grow true from seed? If not , anyone know where i can get the seeds from in this country?
Thanks,
caz

I got my seed last year and this from the real seed company online.
A friend saved seed and ended up with some peculiar huuuge specimens although she said despite their appearance they tasted good.An old boy down the lottie said squashes are promiscuous and seldom come true unless you faff about wrapping bags around flowers or some such malarky. He said they often look good but taste bitter:(
