Buying an "Ex-Demo" - Consumer Rights?

I'm looking at buying a 2nd hand sailing dinghy for £3000. It is an ex demo. The manufacture provides a 2yr warrenty on all parts. It is 1 1/2 yrs old.
It is from a registered dealer. Its taken a long time to save up these funds and would like to know before I spend the money what (if any) protection I would have in purchasing an "ex demo".
Any advice re. requests when asking for a reciept for my purchase or method of payment (any benifit using a credit card?).
Thankyou.

It would still fall under the Sale Of Goods Act. So it must still be of satisfactory quality and as described.
Paying by credit card will cover you under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act so the credit card company will be jointly liable if anything goes wrong"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
