Ford Fiesta New Shape
Hi All
Im just posting a query to see if anyone else has had a similar problem with a Ford Fiesta.
Has anyone had a problem with the bolts on the gear box mounting shearing or coming loose? This has happened to mine recently and of course the main dealer said I must have hit something (which I havent) which caused a bolt to shear and the gear box 'dropped' and the casing was cracked along with some other damage.
I have had two AA mechanics out to rescue me and both said this is a problem that they have seen several times on the Ford Fiesta. Both of the AA guys said to have caused the sort of damage, I would have had to hit Stonehenge - never mind a brick!
Has anyone else had this happen to them - its usually (so i am told) after a clutch/gearbox work has been carried out and the bolts into the mounting are not secured tightly enough. Except my car has not had any work carried out before this happened.
