No chocolate festive advent calendars

I make Advent calenders myself.
I use empty loo rolls and wrap them in gift paper, then tie the ends closed so they look like a cracker.
As a filling I use freebies I collected, i.e. nice cologne samples, miniature bottles of drink, a nice pen, vouchers, etc. etc.
When I've done them all I tie them together like a ladder, that's it.
Hardly costs anything and is fun to make.:rudolf:0 -
I have never bought my children chocolate advents. One i think they are utter cr*p and two mine like to open them when they get up and there is no way they are having chocolate before breakfast.
My local branch of Clinton cards has some lovely ones (about 6) for under £2.
