Cant send mail in gmail

I have windows 7 and suddenly i cant compose emails in gmail. tried different accounts and the same so i believe its something to do with my computer settings.
Never had problem before.
Just found that i can send them in basic html in gmail.

Seems its just IE, works fine in Chrome

Any ideas?

I know, but i would prefer to use IE.

Not that i'm aware of.

go to tools in IE and click manage add-ons and see.

When i check all add-ons i've got about 8 from microsoft a couple from adobe one from apple and 4 from sun microsystems.

Is there any particular one your thinking about?

In that case, in the first instance, try doing a System Restore back to a time when it all worked OK.

Windows Automatic updates are the spawn of the devil and may be at the core of this issue.
