A lady phoned me the other day to sell me house insurance. I explained that I used a broker and due to my house having 7 bedrooms most insurers will not touch it. She advised me that if all 7 seven bedrooms were not in use to remove the beds and say there were only 4 bedrooms.
She explained that a bedroom must have a bed in it and if not then it was not a bedroom. Good god - this women should be banned from selling insurance.

Report her to the employer. There is no need for that sort of dodgy sales tactics in todays market. The bad minority damage the good majority.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

As Dunstonh mentioned report her to her employer, send a letter marked "Official Complaint" and detail your complaint.
People like that need either thorough retraining or removing from the industry.
I find some call centre staff try and bend the truth to obtain a sale and their commission. They normally never have to deal with a customer during a claim, if they had ever handled a big claim they would ensure they always sold a suitable policy and did their best to ensure everything was declared properly.0
