I looked at doing this, but they say you have to use a pc and not a mac. I am a mac user so will not be able to take it forward. I thought it would be useful to flag it up here as it isn't mentioned until later in the application process.First Direct Loan @ 7.9% £13,076.03/£20,250

So having been reassured that not having a degree would not neccessarily be an issue, I now discover that Windows 98 is not compatible.
It would seem from the application form that only 2000 & XT are acceptable operating systems. Is there a particular reason for this?
I think the fates are conspiring against me, and I should just quit while I am behind! :rotfl:

Just sent off my application. Fingers crossed, have been wanting to do this for months (am a Mac user, but we've got a PC at home now so am compatiable)
Best of luck to everyone else who's applying. Hope it doesn't take long to find out - those test questions got me going!0 -
When I checked out the site it stated "IssueBits is currently seeking researchers based in Ireland, Australia or New Zealand only."
Has it only recently been updated to say this?0 -
It can change daily.
I got a reply back this afternoon to say I didnt get a job.
I think I might reapply some point in the future.
Good luck to everyone still waiting.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -

Oh dear, better luck next time.Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Could anyone explain this to me, please. I don't think they are still recruiting as i can't find anything on the site, but would like to know what it's all about.
Thanks AnnieP0 -
Hi AnnieP
Basically you can work for AQA as a self-employed researcher. You work from home whenever you want and receive questions from members of the public that you have to answer. Every vacancy is very over-subscribed which is why they only advertise for vacancies in the UK every now and then. I think this is the longest I have known vacancies to be advertised before, usually its only one or two days. Have a look around the AQA site for more info and ask here if you have any other questions. If you are interested, its worth bookmarking the page and checking everyday for vacancies, and applying as soon as they come up.0 -

Bad luck Tiff
I haven't heard yet but I'm not very confident0 -
I'm having problems with my application too. I dont seem to have an Excel programme, looked it up and it says its about £200 to put on. Any tips? I've got windows XP, so unsure if I have parts of the Excel programme or not, any ideas? I'm not that computer literate, as you'll notice. x0
