Did you get any feedback or was it a straight - thanks but no thanks

It was just an e mail saying sorry you have been unsuccessful, did not say why. Not sure if you can applied again if they have said No to you once as I would like to have another go.

The application form (Yes I've seen it) has a tick box for you to say if you have applied before. Nowhere does it say 'previous applicants need not reapply'. I'd go for it if I were you. Follow the instructions carefully and only give up if they reject you at least twice.

I applied once and was rejected so sent the following email

    Dear ...

I am sorry to hear that you do not feel the quality of my answers was at the required standard. I am surprised to hear this as I believe I would be extremely good at answering your questions - I have used your service previously and feel that the answers I can give are at least of an equivalent standard to those I have received.

I am concerned about the reasons I have been rejected. Firstly the web test directed me to repeat the question in the answer which I know is not done to the same extent when questions are answered on the website, perhaps resulting in my answers not being sufficiently detailed. Secondly I replied "can't answer" to one question, as I was led to understand I should do if I could not answer the question in 10 minutes. Finally, I also used my own knowledge to calculate the answer to one question - thus not submitting a web link and I hope that this was not scored against me.

I am therefore writing to ask you to reconsider your decision. Although I am aware that you have a high number of applications I am very disappointed at not being chosen.

I was given another oppotunity to take the test and passed!!
Now a fully fledged AQA researcher!!

    Good luck all

I applied last week, still waiting to see if I got a job or not.

I emailed them on Monday to see if I was successful or not and got a reply this morning to say my answers are being processed and they have had a high volume of applications etc.

I'd love to do this but noticed that one of their requirements for researchers is thet they have degree-level education or equivalent, which unfortunately I do not have.

Could someone please advise if my application would be rejected because of this. I have absolutely no desire to pretend that I have a degree as that's not my style. I would also like to point out that I am 35 so have been round the block a few times, lol!!

    Thanks in advance, Kerry

I know of a couple of people who do it and don't have degrees. I don't think it will count against you as long as you come across as literate and able to put an intelligent answer together. I think this is to show the level that is required so they aren't inundated with people who are not able to meet the requirements of the answer policy.
