Boots / Huggies starter pack

My wife received some boots parenting vouchers yesterday and the latest Boots parenting magazine.

The picture of the freebies looked really good (see pic) so went went into town to collect our pack it scanned at £24.99 so thought it must be good, when we got home it contained a changing bag, sample pack of baby wipes and a small container of shampoo and loads of useless advertising leaflets and that was it , in the pic it looks like you get loads of goodies from teddy bears to a handy plastic baby wipe holder, what a waste of time :(

  • they put something in small print to say contents may vary - which sadly translates as you'll be lucky if you get much other than stuff to put in the recycling bin!

    BUT a freebies a freebie.

I wasn't able to get my pack because my Boots never had any in stock and by the time I chased it up, they said my baby was too old (they have to be under 3 months)

  • I got mine about 8 weeks ago, it had various samples of wipes, Sudocrem etc in, nappy samples, a changing mat, a little medicine holder from Nurofen. While I would not have paid £25 for it, I was quite happy with it's contents, as the little packs of wipes, Sudocrem etc are all useful for when you are out & about rather than taking full size packs. :)

My main interest was in the bag itself. And the fact that it includes a little change mat too. £25 for a change bag isn't bad money, but very few of them have change mats as well.

Was never worried about what else was in the box.

It didn't look the same as in the photo?

Well that applies to pretty much anything, Big Mac's, serving suggestions on ready meals, dating websites, most celebrities.....

You still benefit if even only one item is useful to you.

Out of all those items in the picture there was only 2 + the bag
  • i got this pack about a year ago and got all the stuff thats included on the picture. you've got to realise that they get all the samples etc. from sponsors and some sponsors may not send them the amount of things they need- so boots swop and change the contents from time to time according to what the sponsors have given them. it isnt financially viable for them to re-photograph and re-print leaflets whenever the contents change especially when they're advertising a free item. we still use the change bag all the time as its really good quality-you would have to pay about £30 to get a similar one from mothercare! to be honest the teddy bear was a bit c**p anyway so you didnt miss out!!!
