Loading Suse Linux

I have just ordered a new computer and also the official version of Suse Linux. Out of curiousity, how easy (or difficult) is it to load Suse onto a computer? Am I likely to encounter any major problems? What, for example, are SATA 2 incompatibilities that some people have mentioned?

I have not loaded SuSE for about a year, but even then it was very straight forward. The only potential issue I would expect is if you have any really bleeding edge components in the PC, in which case drivers could be an issue.

Perhaps you should try running SuSE off of a live CD first to check for "gotchas".
