in IVA & DRO
We have had two meetings with the CAB and we are now filling out our budget guide for another interview with a case worker who will nail everything down before we then decide for definite whether to go for an IVA or not.
I have a bank account with Lloyds tsb (the creditor who has the majority of our debt) and obviously need or think I need to set up a bank account with someone else.
How do i found out what banks are associated / owned by Lloyds?

sounds like I'm the same boat with you with Lloyds, They suggested Payplan and Payplan have said that Lloydstsb won't entertain IVA's, anyone know anything different?0

Well I know that any debt solutions (or debt solution company) suggested to you by the people you owe debt to probably isn't in YOUR best interests!
Lloyds are certainly not the worst (nor the best) for proposing an IVA to but it really doesn't matter since (in theory) each IVA is assessed on it's own merits!
The other thing to bear in mind is that even if one creditors rejects your IVA, they may not hold enough of the voting power to prevent you from getting an IVA anyway.
Contact a few IPs and see what advice they give you. I'm guessing here but by any chance are Payplan suggesting that you try out a DMP?Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?

There is a list of of Lloyds portfolio, found on their website.
As a new-ish member of forum I'm not able to post a link. Google Lloyds Hbos, click on top result (lloydsbankinggroup.com), just click on "about us" and then "brands".
Hope that helps.

Safest bet many go for is a basic account at the Co-Op.0

Hi, we got a basic bank account with Co Op, we went into branch to do it,it can be done over the phone. they were quick in the set up. you can use the post office to access it too, very useful.
sort the new bank account first before anything else. this was the best advice we were given. if you owe money to a bank they can take your wage to pay towards the debt.
good luck0 -
Likewise I initially opened a bank account with the CoOP and it's fantastic. The only place it doesn't work so far is on PayAtPump petrol stations.
I've this week opened another CoOp Cashminder account and a basic saving account.
My thinking is 1 for all household bills .. to ensure they are all covered. 1 for spending money/food/petrol and then the saving account for Christmas and Birthday's jar.0
