Renting a house in Rhode island

Hi all I think this is abit of a long shot but I'm trying everything I can think of at the moment!
I would very much like to go to Rhode island next Aug/sept for my brothers wedding but am struggling to find accommodation. Ideally we would rent a house for the week (3/4 bedrooms) but it is very very pricy (cheapest I've found is about £1000 up to £4000 or more!!!!!).
Any suggestions for where to find a cheaper rental or alternative forms of self catering accommodation for 4 adults & 2 kids would be really really appreciated
The wedding is in Matunuck but I don't mind too much where we stay in RI.

I would also post this on Trip Advisor forums. You could try the owners direct website and also holidays lettings.co.uk
