Yes and its better if you go for PAYG because you get the the card for £100 and the postage of course. I will get the link for the company, or you could buy a second hand on ebay. The all you need is a USIM which is a 3G Sim card. In the fact of you just having a USB modem for you ADSL, you can get a wireless Gateway which is better because they have firewall, modem and router build in. Both Linksys and Netgear are good networking manufactors. Linksys is a division of Cisco Systems which deals with companies.
With this you can use you laptop any where in your house, and maybe your garden.
With it having a build-in firewall you can get better secuirty for your systems. If you want more information about a wireless network just ask.0 -
Hiya everythin:D
I have been thinking how to reply to your post.
I'm not very up on PC's and I'm getting more confused.
Firstly I'm not really concerned about using the laptop at home it was a gift to use when I go away at weekends and holidays, that's it's main purpose.
I have the laptop and if I've understood correctly I now have to get a £100 card plus a 3GSim card.
I'm again thinking that Orange may after all be the best bet as it's a£1 per day that I use it but then do I still have to get both the things I mentioned above.
Thanks again for your help I may just get connected one day:D :TWomen and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

Do you go to the same site or move around, I would have thought that sites with static caravans may have a wireless router hotspots nowadays, which would probably be far cheaper than doing it using a mobile card.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Move around.
As I said I have no idea about laptops and am trying to make sense out of all the advice.:beer:Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

Haven't been camping in a while, but maybe something you could checkout on the websites before you plump for a mobile card.
Make sure your wireless card is switched on, and it should pick up any hotspots as you pass them (Some may charge, but if I ran a campsite, I'd probably bundle it along with the nightly charge)
