help! still waiting for my nus extra card

it's been more than two weeks, and the card hasn't arrived yet. i checked with my student union on friday, and they were no help. is there any way for me to get the 5% amazon discount while the card is still in transit? i really need to buy a bunch of books for class asap. i thought that i would have had the card by now, but they must have loads of orders this time of year. the stupid thing is that i only spent the ten quid on the card now to get the discount on the books. and now the class is starting.

any advice?

you can't get the amazon discount until you activate the card on the NUS extra website.

log onto your account and it will show what stage the card is at. mine took just over 2 weeks to arrive, even though they said about 7 days.

two days later, and still no joy. i'm getting a bit desperate. is there any chance that someone who's already got their card can pm me the amazon code? i would be happy to send you a scan of my regular uni id to prove that i'm a student.

unfortunately it's individual to the person, and there's a £1500 spend limit on it over the year.

common mistake, but remember, if the books are second-hand or used and you buy them from amazon, you wont get the discount, discounts only valid it you buy it brand new from amazon
