My daughter will soon be flying to America and will be staying for a couple of weeks. She is 28 years old and will be travelling alone.

I'm looking for advice on value for money travel insurance.

With Travel Insurance paticularly to the US where medical costs are some the highest in the world, it pays to buy the best that she can afford.

The Post Office policy is recommended by many people and a contibutor to this site who works for a hospital in Florida dealing with billling, says that their Insurers Fortis are reliable to deal with.

In the absence of 'better' advice I'll be advising her to do the same this time round.
