I only want to ship to UK - buyer from Thailand

Help
I am being driven mad
I set postage to 'UK only' and for the second time I have a winning bidder from thailand - I suspect it is the same person as the previous sale is 'no longer a registered ebay member'

After the first time I got a mail from ebay congratulating me on selling internationally

I can't amend the invoice to say ' Please provide a UK address and i will ship to that' as the drop down postage only gives international options.

How can I completely put a stop to selling internationally. I don't even want to see the shipping options when I start a new sale.

I added the previous thailand buyer to the blocked bidders list - but it seems they just created a new account.

My last item was for 0.99 so it is not worth the time and effort to post this to thailand.

Any help appreciated!

  • A similar thing happened to my daughter in that an American bidder won the item despite the fact he emailed us before bidding asking if we would ship to America and we replied saying no. He then paid immediately by paypal, I think he thought once he had won the item and paid for it we would just give in and send it anyway. We sent him an email stating that we had already told him we didn't want to ship to America and sent an immediate refund through paypal. We then made a second chance offer to the nest highest bidder. Everything worked out ok.

If you wont ship to a certain country just cancel the persons bids and also go into your selling preferences and change some options so this should cut it down for you

There must be something you are missing in the "countries I ship to" preferences area. Go back and double check your settings.
You could also state in your advert UK only, but most people seem to ignore the actul info in listings!

Also, if you are prepared to do it, set your item to "immediate payment required" and paypal only.

This may put off potential scammers (although is by no means 100% foolproof)

You can cancel the sale on the grounds that the buyer does not meet your requirements (ie UK only)
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.
