Hi,
the " and the @ have somehow swopped places on my laptop!
Can anyone please tell me how this could have happened, and can it be rectified?

This is the difference between a UK and a US Keyboard.

    In XP :-

Start > Control Panel > Regional & Language options > Languages Tab > Details (button)

then select UK or US as appropriate and click on Apply then OK
