Firewalls?

I am having problems with my computer. I can't activate my firewall. I have XP. Any help or questions please.

yes download zonealarm, much better than windows firewall anyways IMHO

There went me jumping to conclusions, my mind missed the full stop and linked firewall XP = problem.

Yes what firewall software, what errors, anything in event viewer. have you installed anything new (like for example another firewall or antivirus program)?

The little box comes up in the corner. When I connect. I've tried in control panel and windows security but no joy. I am not at my computer at the moment so will post later with more details. Thanks everyone so far with the help.
