If someone leaves employment on a compromise agreement as a consequence of redundancy, are they entitled to claim JSA straight away?
Or is there a waiting period?

You can claim straight away, and should do so, they will still look into why the job finished though.0

NASA, as usual, is spot on.
I would question what you mean by compromise agreement though, and what aspect of that agreement concerns you. My experience of compromise agreements have been in terms of labour market - the compromise is that neither party will mention any detail of the agreement. This generally causes problems and will generally result in the maximum sanction.
It very much depends on what you and your employer give as the reason for the employment ending.0 -

It is just redundancy. No problems or anthing like that. They are just choosing to do this through compromise agreements.0 -
If it is voluntary redundancy the claim will be sanctioned.0
