I am not affliated or connected to the charity Animal Aid, however, each year they run Purple Poppy Appeal in remembrance of Animals that have suffered in war/conflict situations.
I believe this is worth supporting, so please, spare a few moments & visit Animal Aid webstore & purchase a Purple Poppy.

If that link dosen't work, please visit www.animalaidshop.org.uk
Thank You!

I checked their website and couldn't find any reference to what they do in aiding animals apart from stocking animal-friendly products.
Anyone know what campaigning they do?thankyou very much for this. my dad was talking to a poppy volunteer yesterday about why arent there charities fir the animals involved in war
Maybe because there are so few animals involved in war these days that it wouldn't be worthwhile. Most references are to remembering the number of animals that suffered in previous wars, primarily horses during the 1st and 2nd World Wars.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
They campaign to end animal suffering basicallyin a nut shell.
Here's a link to the main animal aid website:

As I said, I have no connection to this charity, however, I am an animal lover & try to support as many animal charities as I can. I have posted a link because I couldn't find any other charity selling this poppy. Just thought others might be interested.0 -
I was at the Animals Fair in Kensington and bought a purple poppy on their stall. The poppy is really beautiful and when I wore it in work people were very interested in what it represented. Like many others, the fat that animals suffer in wars hadn't occurred to them. The fair was opened by Pen Farthing and one of the dogs he had rescued in Afghanistan.0
