Dodgy button on my Vaio

When i got this vaio i kinda thought the buttons were a bit silly as they have gaps around them.
Now to my annoyance one of them has somehow got bent slighty and i can lift it up easily from the keyboard and it seems to work sometimes and sometimes it gets stuck.
I'm not sure what to do, has anyone else had this problem? The laptop was a gift from someone and i dunno if he still has the reciept or not, but its less then a yr old i think, at least from when i recieved it

I've had several Vaios and never experienced this problem.
It is probably best to contact the suppliers of the PC and they will arrange for it to be collected by Sony and repaired free of charge.
Alternatively, you could contact Sony direct. They will arrange for a carrier to collect the machine and return within 5 days.
Good luck0 -
Sigh, i swear everything electrical i touch breaks, been through about 6 mice this year, 5 headsets, 2 laptops... i will speak to the guy and see if he still has the paperwork, just worried it may get damaged more and not work at all.0

Hope you get it sorted.
Good luck!0 -
Occasionally debris can find its way into the crevices between keys.
The solutions - turn it upside down and give it a gentle shake and tap the base.
You could also try a bit of compressed air - a can costs about £4 from ASDA / Tesco.
Loose keys usually just need a bit of continious, gentle pressure and you will feel it " click" back onto its mounting.

Oh thanks i will try that first, have to admit i do eat over my keyboard sometimes:rotfl:so when i got it i thought 'omg those keys are gonna be trouble' with little gaps round the edges that my crumbs fall into

But considering i got it free i can hardly complain !0 -
There are numerous instructional videos on Youtube showing you how to remove the keyboard to clean it and then replace it.0
