Good Evening All
I have had a low memory for a little while now and today decided to get a 400GB Freecom External Drive. My Main Problem was the amount of photo's that I have on the PC, so I was thinking that this would be good to store all these photo on.
I am not sure how to use it. I have transfered afew photos over toi the drive, which it says in now called (H) DRIVE. However when the photo's where in the (C) DRIVE I could view them as a Thumbnail when searching for them. Now with the (H) DRIVE I can not view them in Thumbnail, I just get this icon that looks like a LOCK and the files all end in .JPG.PMS I am not happy about this at all??
Any tips from any one using this drive? And any tips on the uses for External drives in general, would be great.
Thanks
Pete

not an answer to your question, but my advice would be to never rely on one hard disk to store all your precious photos. Back them up to CD or DVD, because one day your external HD may die, or you may get a virus that wipes out both your PC HD, and your backup.
If you have really lost your pictures, these may help..
