Best Worldwide (incl USA) Backpacker Insurance for Pre-existing medical condition.

Hello all...

I hope someone on here can help.

I need to find decent insurance for my son who is 31 and about to go and work as a doctor in Australia for a year. As part of his Visa application he has to have travel insurance - it must have adequate medical cover. As he has a pre-existing medical condition, (a congenital heart condition - fixed and he is in excellent health) we are really struggling to find decent insurance.

Must also include decent activity cover - has his PADI qualification and goes surfing.

Any suggestions please? Thankyou!

i used these for worldwide annual family policy,not sure about heart conditions but for our health issues the policy is just fine and reasonable cost.

My wife's used Marks & Spencers travel insurance for the last few trips now.

Ordinary travel insurance won't cover him for a year away as most is for trips up to 30 or 45 days. He needs long term or backpacker insurance.

Google "long stay travel insurance".
