Marks and Spencer half price chickens!

Very good offer - got one yesterday although stock wasn't great.

While I would have preferred the labels to be printed with correct price instead of the sticker there was also displays by the chickens giving before and after price per kg. So not misleading in any way as there were birds ''from £2'' if you wanted a really small one.

I got a couple of rotisserie ones yesterday just under £3 each I'm well pleased.

my rotisserie chicken was £2.63..big enough for tea tomorrow with some salad...great deal..and a fair few left at my m&s

No, i think it's not, they most likely had some and sold out - they can't exactly change their whole advert because people went in first and bought the cheap ones for that day.

The chickens (even though half price) won't be a huge deal cheaper than your average Tesco/Asda and so on but it's just a matter of what you're prepared to pay for good quality meat.

We go through so many whole chickens in our house!

Got two large whole chickens which worked out at about £3 each. One for tomorrow, one in the freezer.

Tesco doing fresh Willow chicken from their over the counter butcher section for £2.50. 1.5 kg. Don't know how the quality compares, (or the ethics!) but they look fine to me. Also half price. Might be good for those who missed the M&S offer.

i got a free range oakham chicken yesterday...1.76kg half price for £4.40.. happy with that, i wanted a organic one but they were all gone

Very pleased with my haul of chickens ! DH got 2 and I got 2 - great great value. The shelf that was marked up with the promotion was almost empty but the one at the other end of the display that was not advertised was full including organic, free range, medium, large and extra large. Thanks to the OP for posting about this.
