oakham chickens aren't reared in the most disgusting of conditions though, unlike many other cheap chickens.

my mum went into M&S in Bath this morning and all the chickens started at about £5-£6 , so way more than £2 when half priced at till, loads of people complaining that it was very misleading, a manager then came and said they hoped to have a delivery of cheaper ones later today so mum left her phone number and he said he would call her when they came in and keep some for her.....so we will see what happens later on....ADOPT DONT SHOP......🐕🐕🐕🐕0

But all that means is she'll get less chicken. For the extra 50p she'll get more meat. IIRC, the ratio of meat to bones (and gristle etc) is about 65/35, but it will go down as the chicken gets smaller. for example a poussin weighs about half of a small chicken, but where a small chicken would comfortably feed 2 or 3 people, a poussin would just feed one.0 -
Went in at 11:30am big sign up "No chickens left, come back tomorrow":(
Hope they stagger their stock tomorrow as it's not fair for those who can't get in first thing.AKA: PC

I bought one of the cheapest chickens I saw, was about 2.50 at half price. I could barely get at it for all the people crowded around, lol. That with some veg and half a bottle of wine are going in a pan for dinner tonight for some lovely drunkard's chicken. Thanks op.0
