Getting power to a new shed

We're having a large'ish shed/outbuilding built at the end of the garden and are wondering about how or whether to get power down there.
Unfortunately the consumer unit is at the front of the house (more than 60 metres away), but we do have an internal socket running off a single spur (20 amps on the CU)at the side of the house (it was put there for a fancy HiFi system).
Is it likely to be OK to disconnect the internal socket and run that cable through the wall and down the garden for the shed? The only use in the shed will be a couple of lights, a small heater and the occasional power tool or laptop.
What about cost - the shed is about 40-45 metres away from the place where the cable would appear outside. We know we'd need armoured cable, presumably in some kind of pipework.....
