OP, Google to find out how to find your router line statistics, and post them.

I'm not sure what you mean?

+1 from me too, any time Ive had a problem with talk talk broadband (only twice in 3 years) The online support has helped me no end. (First was a speed jump from 2Meg, to 6, then more recently to 9Meg (when I test the line on the talk talk site the system says I am only able to get 5.6MAX......) So the guys on the site have managed to boost my speed when I thought it was impossible.

    Nuff said.

Only think you may find is they can take 24-48 hrs to answer your post on the forum.... BUT its worth it to get talking to someone who can actually do something to your line themselves, and not someone in a call cantre reading off a script.... nightmare.

I tried to join but my phone number and account number do not match, they are both correct.

To check / confirm your details, go to the TalkTalk MyAccount page.

    http://www.talktalk.co.uk/myaccount

Log in and check that your account number is correct and that you are entering both your account number and your phone number as shown.

Note, if you have more than one TalkTalk account
(1 - Phone, 2 - Broadband) then use the account number for the "Phone" account when registering on the TalkTalk Members Forum.

If this still does not work, then you can complete a "Contact Us" form on the talktalk.co.uk site to ask for your details to be checked, give the error message and your details so that they can fix it for you.

    Hi folks

Many thanks for the replies, today the router they sent me packed in, it just re-boots constantly, I've noticed the speed has also dropped to 700 / 800 which is crap, I setup a new router which I had and it works but still same slow speed as expected.

It will be. The router constantly dropping the connection will trigger the exchange to reprofile your line. When this happens, speeds are dropped incrementally until the connection is stable and then they're increased slowly until instability kicks in then they're wound back.

Now you've got your new router in and not rebooting, the profiling will now start ramping up the connection speed.

Note I said connection and not throughput as that depends on your ISP and TT aren't that good.

    Hi virii,

If you are having difficulties with registering on the TalkTalk Members Forum then you can complete the contact us form on the TalkTalk Members Forum or email ttmfcontactus@talktalkgroup.com so we can resolve the issue with registering. Once you have registered on the TalkTalk Members Forum and created a thread we can look into the speeds to see if there is anything we can do to improve them.

    Hi

When i call up to cancel on Monday if there anything I need to get to move to another provider?

    Thanks

Don't call up to cancel call up for your MAC.

.............and post your router line statistics.
