Cheap Dulux and Crown white paint at B and Q

Not on the website but my local B and Q had 10 litre tubs of Dulux brilliant white matt emulsion for about £15, 10 litre tubs of Crown Magicote Classics - white, cream, stone, magnolia, again all about £15. I was tempted by the Dulux but decided to try Alpina brilliant white 10 litre tub for about £17 - it says it is one coat and odor free - comes in a tub with a green lid.

Prices are approx as I haven't my receipt to hand, but excellent value for branded paint. Wilkinsons also doing Dulux BW for £5 for 5 litres if you need a smaller amount. Homebase had a few Crown emulsions half price but limited to a few off white shades in my local store. HTH.

I have found the branded paint in places like B&Q isn't the same as the same branded paints that you can get in a proper decorators trade store. For example when I had some painting done I bought Dulux from B&Q and when he ran out, the decorator went to his local trade supplier and got another tin of dulux, same type same colour but it was much thicker and went twice as far.
