Xbox 360 reset gamerscore and called a cheater for no reason!!!!

Hi all, Hope someone can help and im not sure i have put this in the right place so apologies if i have done wrong....
My son has a gold membership on xbox 360 he has been on it for 2 years or more and i have spent loads over the years on games, credits and maps etc... He turned it on the other morning to find he had his gamerscore reset to zero and in his zone area for all to see was cheater! He was devasted as was i after the money i have spent. I rang microsoft xbox and was told they didnt deal with 'enforcement issues' and was told to get online at the usa xbox web site and post a thread on the account banned and suspensions forum, we found that when we tried to post the post would 'vetted' by one of the enforcement team and then put up on the forum for all to see. I have posted 6 times and no answer, but i have read lots of other posts similar to ours and the have all said that their account has been checked out and the reset counts. Now at the time we have had no prior warning or emails and more importantly no proof that my ( upset) son had actually cheated. I am now at a loss and i have no idea who i can contact over this...Has anyone else had this same problem?

are you tech savvy?
do you know your son isnt using mods?
is the 360 modified?

Hi, Yes the xbox is definately not modded and the controllers are normal too. He was playing on quite a few games over the years like Halo, COD, gears of war etc. Im not a tech savvy but i do have some knowledge of it but not alot.
