There are good companies and bad out there... a lot of people on here could give you fair warning about the bad ones!
The main thing is that you shouldn't go with a company that charges up front fees... OR a company that will simply pass your details onto another company once you've paid a fee.
Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?

^^What Charco Says^^
Have a look at www.iva.com
They list a lot of iva companies and IPs. They also carry reviews and ratings from the clients. But I have heard rumours that some companies have falsly set up accounts so they can give themselves favourable reviews to boost their scores, so when you check them out, read ALL the reviews and I am sure you will get the idea
I personally went with Melanie Giles and her crew (she also is very active on www.iva.co.uk forums). Personally I rate her and her team 1st class
But the key is to talk to two or three IPs and firms and find the one that feels comfortable to YOU. You must be happy with these people as you will be dealing with them for potentially up to six years. So get a few names, ring and talk with them (remembering Charco's advice) then sit and decide
