You appear to have posted this thread on the wrong board.
This board is for small business and charity advice
The benefits and tax credits board is here

I would suggest you contact the board guide to request your thread is moved there where it will probably get more responses

Wow! There really are some things you should find out BEFORE making major decisions like giving up your job.
Hope the rest of your business plan is a bit more thought out. :eek:0 -
Hi, I would inform tax credits, they will want to know what your earnings have been up til you went self employed, and then they will want an estimate of what you will earn for the rest of the tax year. I would say it is better to underestimate than overestimate, otherwise you could find yourself paying them back! hth0

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.
Do come back when you have Small Biz questions, and I hope you don't find these answers too blunt: we can be very helpful but we don't pretend that setting up and running a new business is a piece of cake!Signature removed for peace of mind0
