Car insurance, not sure where to start

For the past ten or so years, I have leased a car through my husband's company. Now he is retired we have decided to buy the car we have had on lease for a year. It is a Peugeot 308, done less than two thousand miles since I got it new last November.
Anyway, I am not sure where to start with insuring it. Unfortunately I scraped a stationery car earlier this year causing some damage so the insurance statement shows this. I will be the main driver but (if reasonably priced) I would include my son, daughter and their partners to drive it occasionally.
I am almost 60 years old and don't really go out to work much these days.
I would appreciate some advice before I start my search, thanks.

Do you know which insurance company insured the vehicle under the leasing arrangement? They might take a positive view on your overall driving record. Otherwise I think you're into the main suspects - Gocompare, Confused - to see where the general market sits on you. Saga, Castlecover and RIAS do specialist over 50s insurance and won't be on price comparison sites.0
