BT don't get the message

I have spent the last two years getting more and more frustrated by BT trying to get me to take up TOTAL BROADBAND
I do not want BT Total Broadband and have emailed BT on numerous occasions to tell them to stop sending me letters trying to con me into taking it - unwanted phone calls (some as late as 7pm) and finally, I decided to "return to sender" all the letters
This worked for a while until I started to receive unaddressed SPAM through the door - same again - "BT TOTAL BROADBAND"
Nothing (at all) since Wednesday - but come the return of our postal service, I bet that we will be inundated again
I have registered to stop junk mail - which works for most companies except BT !!
My next step will be to return a brick using their envelope return costs to ensure that they get the message

If it's "The Occupier" type mail you can't do much about it, other than make sure you're registered with the MPS and the RM Opt Out. Both of which I assume you've done? BT do produce a lot of marketing literature, it's true. I'm actually a customer of theirs so I'm able to make sure my preferences are set to no marketing for everything (phone, mail, email). As I'm a customer I don't get "The Occupier" mail (they know who lives there).
But I do get it from Virgin! Drives me mad."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

It's the phonecalls that really bug me - the (foreign sounding) caller won't take NO for an answer - and calling at 7pm is wrong
I have put the phone down on them in the past - often receiving a second call minutes later
We have taken to not answering calls from unknown numbers because of this .....0 -

You should check your preferences for marketing literature. Any company that you deal with should remove you from their lists if you ask them. BT don't phone, mail or email me with new product details at all. I had to ask them not to - they're one of the worst spammers around. But one call, they updated their details and I've not received anything for years now."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

No point in calling me at all - if I want to buy something - I don't appreciate someone trying to push me into it..
In fact the opposite is true - I am less likely to do so !!0 -
We're banging our heads with BT too.
Due to issues with BT Infinity they've finally decided to send us a replacement hub.
Today, we get an email confirming that it will be delivered... two days ago!
...and if it doesn't arrive, to call them after 6pm. So we do. But all departments we try to reach are closed. (Ring after 6pm?! Perhaps the problem is that we don't have a time machine to ring them two days ago when it was supposedly meant to have arrived)
Incidentally... we checked the so-called tracking information on our order while we waited. They have dispatched the hub to our old address.
This is at least the 4th item they have now dispatched to the address we left THREE YEARS AGO. NOTHING we do seems to be able to get them to grasp this simple fact. Old address = bad. Current address = good.
Smiley sounding Indian call centre chappie cheerfully arranges to send a new one. Where's it going to be sent, folks? My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
