I am thinking of installing IE7 I currently have IE6.
I it ok to do this as some time ago I was told to wait until some of the teething troubles had been sorted out?

 wait wait wait!!!
There are some known issues with IE7 and more will become apparent over the coming months as more and more people install it; Microsoft like their customers to act as guinea pigs for them, it saves them having to test their software properly :mad:You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0

I did it couple of months ago, and no problems but I am sure I will cringe when the clever ones come on and tell you good reasons why you shouldnt..... I like it I didnt know it was a beta version when I installed it I didnt know it was a beta version when I installed it 0 0

            DONT!!!
I did and had problems, wait until its been debugged.
One of the biggest problems was with this site.
Was contnually having to refresh the pages as I went to view them.
It didnt matter what I did could`nt get it to run properly.0

Eventually Microsoft will deliver it via Windows Update, so if you want to wait until others have had most of the problems turn off automatic updates0

Had the Beta for a while but still prefer Firefox!!0

i've had it for a few months now and have to say its great, had a few problems about a month ago, pages loading really slowly but installed updates from microsoft site and all was fine again.
Some of the techies will just look for reasons to say don't just because its microsoft and get firefox but with both browsers on my comp I have to say i prefer ie7, beta or not.
But its all about preference, try it and decide for yourself.0

Try Firefox 2! I think people do not like IE because it is buggy and when compared to Fireferret ,Opera and Safari the user interface is very much lacking IMHO. It is nothing to do with it being Microsoft really!! If that was the case none of us would be using MS Windows or MS Office!!0

I downloaded IE7 just today and it appears to be working fine. No problems so far....“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0
