How long for CTC to come through?

According to the Tax people they received my claim for CTC (after losing incme support and being pushed onto Pension credits) on the 30th September. Both they and the advice lines stated we were entitled to around £50 a week but its now 5 weeks on thursday since the received my claim and all I get from them is, "Its being processed"
They will actually owe me from 06 September when the IS stopped and PC started.
Anyone else had a long perion of time between claim and award.
