Have you seen the leisure vouchers - they can be used for meals, towards some hotels, days out, spas, bowling, swapped for theatre vouchers, the list is quite long.

One Christmas I bought my Mum and Dad a voucher for afternoon tea at a local posh hotel - I think they had about 6 months to redeem it.

ummm bit daft but how about paying their bowls subscriptions for the year with their team? Takes up no room and is something they love?
Should add its been years since I played bowls (last time i was 14!!) so have no idea now how much that is
