I know what you mean about vouchers, but sometimes if all else fails........
Have you seen the leisure vouchers - they can be used for meals, towards some hotels, days out, spas, bowling, swapped for theatre vouchers, the list is quite long.

One Christmas I bought my Mum and Dad a voucher for afternoon tea at a local posh hotel - I think they had about 6 months to redeem it.......0 -
ummm bit daft but how about paying their bowls subscriptions for the year with their team? Takes up no room and is something they love?
