Converting text filled jpg to doc???

Is it at all possible to do this? I'm pleading that someone out there know how, or of some software that can do the job. I have an urgent job to do by tomorrow that needs converting and will save me the next 36 hours typing! I've been searching the net for ages but come up with nothing useful.

Please someone :(

It is possible to do this but you will need OCR software, which can recognise the characters in the jpg and convert them into word format. If you have a scanner this software is usually supplied with the scanner.

The package that I have, is Textbridge OCR and I have just converted a scanned utility bill into Word format to try it. You may be able to make use of a trial version like this.

There is software out there, but the results are never 100% what you want. If you can post the jpg here or host it somewhere like https://www.imageshack.us and then pm me the link i can give it a go for you with some software i have.

Even using OCR, you can end up with a document of such gibberish that it is quicker to re-type it than proof read it.

I would print the Jpeg, then scan it as a document rather than an image. Your scanner OCR software will convert it to text and send it to Word for editing.
