in Credit cards
On Sunday I got a call from Capital One saying they were doing a security check and wanted to confirm things with me. I found this odd and told them no I'm not confirming my credit card details with someone over the phone!
Do you think this was scammers or have been grumpy at capital one? :P

If the caller was unwilling to go halfway with some security details I reckon you did the right thing. Did you check the Caller ID? If you are still concerned, phone Capital One on a known legitimate number and ask.Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

I don't have any problems with my card or anything at the moment so I didn't call them and ask, maybe I should. I think if it was them it's a pretty lame way of going about your business!Challenger #52 in the £10 a day November Challenge

I`ve had a few credit card companies call me for verification of a few transactions. Hbos one was automated but barclaycard one asked for my year of birth and then he gave me my full dob. Its quite tate but the norm. Just call them and explain you received a call for verification of recent transactions if your still hesitant when you get your next call.Falleniceangel wrote: »On Sunday I got a call from Capital One saying they were doing a security check and wanted to confirm things with me.
