Newbie left a neutral as order not received yet only just paid for item!

I've just been left neutral feedback by a newbie buyer and I'm just gob-smacked, no other words for it!
The item ended on sunday afternoon and she sent an invoice request for shipping costs that evening as she's in USA. (Quite why she didn't get that anyway goodness knows as I did do it in the listing.) I duly sent the invoice. She paid at 8pm this evening, (2 days later) and she has already left neutral feedback saying she's "waiting for my order but so far so good".
Even if she'd paid on sunday, I couldn't have posted it then so it wouldn't have reached her yet anyway!!!
I'll be posting it tomorrow but I haven't emailed her yet to let her know this. I am thinking of putting how long it will take too as I can feel an INR coming on if it's not there in 2-3 days. (According to the Royal Mail website, it will take around 5 working days.) I'm not sure when or how to reply to this feedback either so any suggestions with that will also be very gratefully received.

It sounds like she is completely new and thinks that she has to leave feedback relating to the transaction right now and will get another opportunity to mark you on the item later on.
Put it gently and politely that she should wait for the item to arrive and then give you feedback - tell her she only gets one opportunity to leave feedback, so she should leave it when she gets the item and not waste the opportunity beforehand. You can tell her that once she gets the item, to let you know and you will send her a form to revise her feedback. Also remind her that you are in the UK and postage will take slightly longer than it would do were she ordering from the US. By treating her carefully you can sort anything like this out.
Don't jump the gun on this - if she hasn't got much of a clue how eBay works, she probably won't know how to claim INR."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

I'd just respond with "bizarre feedback, given you only paid 2 hours ago yet live the other side of the Atlantic!"Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I thought you had to wait 7 days to give negative or neutral feedback, I had someone dropship something on me from amazon and was considering a neutral, it said I couldn't cos it was less than seven days since I had brought the item and to contact the seller.0

that only happens if they are a power seller, the same thing happened to me when we needed to leave a negI thought you had to wait 7 days to give negative or neutral feedback, I had someone dropship something on me from amazon and was considering a neutral, it said I couldn't cos it was less than seven days since I had brought the item and to contact the seller.0 -
That would say to me "seller has no ability to sort these things out amicably or explain by email that that's not what feedback is for".I'd just respond with "bizarre feedback, given you only paid 2 hours ago yet live the other side of the Atlantic!""Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Thanks for the replies. I was just so shocked that she didn't give me a chance and I did wonder too if she thought she could add to it later Crowqueen. She has a feedback score of 9 and I'm the first she's left any for.
I don't wish to go in heavy handed for the reasons you've given, much as temptation was there last night! Item is now posted and I'll be emailing her shortly so thanks for the help with the wording for this. Incidentally, I checked with the post office and they said to give it up to 7 working days to arrive and not 5 as per the website.0 -
Great
