anyone know if you do your tax online if it comes recorded delivery or by standard post.. if recorded i wont be in and have to go to the main post office to pick it up and thats more hassle than going into town and queing for tax

i know that you can only purchase the road tax after the 16th of the month the old road tax expires at the post office. In my case my tax expires end of dec so i can buy a new one after the 16th of dec. Does the same rule applies for applying online? The reason i ask is there will be heavy traffic in postal service with xmas cards etc and want to know how long it normally takes etc
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

was very quick when I did it, arrived just a few days later.

Of course, post offices will be busy at Christmas, but so will the delivery people.

If the dates fit could you leave it until after last posting date is over?? it might be less busy then.
