got a problem with our chimney, the problem being if I light a fire in the woordburner & there isnt enough wind the smoke doesnt excape (so fills house), but if its bllowing right it works fine. Wasnt like this last winter, but seemed to happen after some big trees 3 or 4 houses away got cut back.
Any ideas on what I can do to rectify this either on the cheap or who to contact for a pro job? It has been swept to the top

Chimney is not drawing. Have you changed anything internally which would affect ventilation requirements?
I would either call in a sweep to check it out or perhaps the woodburner installer. Both should be HETAS registered anyway. Sweep prolly cheapest.

As has been said, have you got enough ventilation in the room so that the fire can breath? Try opening a window and seeing if the fire draws better.0
