Can anyone explain this?

Can anyone explain how/why this can happen as it doesn't make any sense to me.

1. Just sold an item on eBay. Received the automatic email from them saying congratulations your item has sold. In it it states the following buyer details

Buyer user id - nay****82
Buyer email address - nathan****@msn.com
Buyer registered address - Nathan *******, 12 Watling Place, ****** UK

2. Then I received notification from Paypal that the item has been paid. The notification says I have been paid by the same user ID as given above, but a completely different email address which is boyblue***@yahoo.co.uk. The postal address matches with the one in the email from eBay saying my item has sold and it's a verified address. I have logged into my Paypal account and checked from in there and the details match with the payment notification email

All ok so far, but here's the very strange thing.

I use Selling Manager to keep track of all our sales. When I log into eBay and look at this transaction to check on the buyers name and address details I get something completely different

The details I see are

Buyer user ID - nay****82 - matches with the one on email from eBay saying my item has sold
Buyer email - nay****@msn.com - doesn't match either of the email addresses above
Buyer name - Dennis Mas*****ski
Buyer address - *** East Deer Ridge Pass, **** USA
Buyer phone number - US phone number

Also in eBay the item is showing as payment not being received, although if I click on the option to view payment details it then says I have been paid by Nathan***** with the UK address of 12 Watling Place.

Can anyone shed any light on this as I've never seen anything like it. I don't understand why within eBay I am told the buyer is clearly located in the US, but the email saying the item has sold gives me a totally different UK buyer name and address details as does the Paypal payment.

To confuse things even more when I tried to send this person an invoice eBay automatically used my airmail postal charges on the invoice matching with him being in the US, but if I do a user ID search it shows this persons location as Kent in the UK.

I've checked the bidding history and there doesn't seem to be any unusual activity and the item they've purchased is only £9.95 so hardly a high value item. Their feedback is 98.9% on 103 items with one neg for non-payment with a follow up from them saying they were in hospital (that old one!). Almost all their feedback is for purchases, although they do sell every now and then and have one item listed at the moment with a note saying to call Tony on a mobile phone number.

Anyone have any ideas? Could the account be hijacked? If so does anyone have any suggestions as to how to proceed?
