Sorry but I am not sure where to put this post.
Somewhere on this forum I read there was a will pack for about £12 but I can't find that post. However, I went into Smith's today, their will pack is nearly £25. Can anyone tell me where I can find either the post (to find out the information) or better still, where I can find a will pack for £12.

Just been to the website, thanks, it looks remarkably like the one on sale in Smith's for £25.0

I contacted the website, it is the same will as W H Smith's so an enormous saving of £15 thank you.0

It will only be a cheap will if you are 100% certain that you know how to write a will. Solicitors will tell you that they make far more from sorting out home-made wills than they ever do from writing them.0 -

Well, they would wouldn't they.
When I die, I would like to leave all my wordly goods, right down to my cotton socks, to my one and only adult child, also appoint them executor.
I wonder, how much would a solicitor would charge me for writing that single line.
Are you a solicitor?0 -
Wills aren't written in a single line. A simple will can be drawn up by a solicitor for around £100, and if you wait for Willaid week next year the solcitor charges nothing, but a charitiable donation is expected..................

WHS is having a laugh. £25 each for the pack and a buy 1 get 1 half price offer.
Sussex Stationers have the same thing for £16.99 each.
Still not as good as £9.99 from the website (which says that the RRP is £15.75)!0 -
Staples also sell Will packs complete with full instructions.
For very simple wills, you certainly don't need a solicitor, although your English must be good (as in clear), and it must be well thought out. For anything other than the simplest of wills, go to a solicitor."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -
Yes, sorry, didn't expect the sentence would be taken seriously.
Solicitors (in reality usually a cheaper Legal Executive), compile most wills from a cut-and-paste book, so how they justify their charges is beyond me."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0
