Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if the job centre has an advisor for carers who wish to either retrain or return to some work or even set up a business?
A little background info.
My hubby is seriously ill, he's in the support group for ESA he also gets middle rate care and high rate mobility.
I receive carer's allowance as unfortunately I had to give up my job in March this year. The head was great and didn't really want me to leave but the hours were impossible for me as mornings with my husband are extremely difficult.
I am also disabled myself but really do wish to work, it's driving me crazy being at home all day. My hubby does need a high level of supervision but I could work during the afternoons.
Another option would be to retrain, can the JC+ help with costs etc.
Any advice welcome. Thank you,
Tehya
PS: The ESA is income related so we get rent & council tax benefit too & we don't have any savings now or other income.

Couldn't you do some private tutoring in the after school hours? What about taking on a Kumon franchise?
There really isn't much training available through the JCP but you can get advice on starting a business through Business Link.0
