Vent: Calling the Osbournes

Ordered a new PC from Ebuyer - the courier of choice was UPS.
I'm out all day so never manage to take delivery on anything being mail ordered, I normally come home to a "Sorry we missed you" type card and find they have either:
1. Delivered it to a neighbours house with a "left at No xx"
2. Returned to Depot
3. Left in garden Shed.
I have no problem with any of those options.
Arrive home today, nothing, no card, zilch, nada
Go online to track and see
"Delivered, Signed for by OSBOURNE"
Who in the name of the Lord is Osbourne??
Where do they live??
This aint 1977, we don't have Street Parties and socialise with our neighbours, we don't even speak to them!
If your name is Osbourne - I don't suppose you have a new PC in your hallway do you??
Looks like I am spending the evening wandering around the streets knocking peoples doors!!
Might put some halloween stuff on, at least I might get some sweets out of it!!
Is it really too much to ask to expect a card through the door??

Beware!
Same thing happened to me with Dell Laptop and after some detective work on my part I discovered that my thieving neighbours at a similar address had effectively stolen my new laptop.
Was a huge saga which resulted in me having to get press involved to get it sorted.
Hope your situation is more straightforward!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
The PC is not even for me, a guy at work asked me to buy it for him (he isn't too good with IT stuff).
He is sitting there expecting his new PC tomorrow!
Will be on the Phone to UPS tomorrow.0 -
Good luck and let us know how you get on!
If they insist that it is indeed "delivered" ask them to provide you with proof."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
Woop Woop.
Rang UPS today. Not too bad to be honest, once I gave up with the "press 3" for this and "Press 9 for that" and just went for an assistant.
Phone answered in just a few rings and he read out the same proof of delivery to me and said "Number 47".
He went on to apologise for the lack of card through the door.
Got the PC now0 -
Was it Ozzie?Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0
